Sir,
Re “fiscal naheffingsaanslag 281212122300539/schiphol boulevard/ auto 18NZS9 “
I hereby submit a complaint against the traffic penalty referred to above. My reasons are
1. There is NO visible indication that the area where I parked is subject to a payment. The announcement is in another distant vicinity invisible to a car or a driver entering the area where I have parked. A photo of the situation could be provided if requested.
2. The penalty is excessive by any legal standard. A penalty that is more than ten times the normal parking charge is excessive by any international legal standard or practice in other countries.
3. Those imposing the penalty are ill trained at explaining what they are doing. When I pointed out that there was no indication that this was a paid parking area, his only response was that he could not reverse his decision! He was also unable to explain how he arrived at the figure of the surcharge. You can impose a penalty but I have the right to know how did you arrive at the level of that penalty!!!
I hereby request a reversal of the penalty, a refund of the paid amount and an apology for abusing consumer rights and causing uncalled for agony and disturbance.
I have been visiting the Netherlands for a few days and the bitter taste of this experience is all that I remember of this visit.!!
Sincerely,
