My complaint:
I bought a TomTom XL Live, with 1 year Live Services subscription included. Within 2 months it was stolen from my car, so with still over 10 month subscription a bought a second hand one. The TomTom website gives a clear procedure how to transfer a subscription to another device. The transfer was successful, so the stolen device was removed from my account and should not receive any updates anymore, and my new device was connected to my account. But the new device kept saying the subscription was expired, so I complaint with customers service. After a week waiting, this is what they came back with:
“I am sorry to hear that your device has been stolen.
However, as the Live Services came with that unit for a 1 year trial period and was not a purchased subscription, there is no way we can track that Live Services Subscription. As the unit you have purchased is already linked to your account, we can see that the Live Services trial period has already been used on the second hand device. In case you would like to renew your Live Services subscription for the device you are currently using, please visit the link below.”
So basically by calling the packedge of the Navigator with one year Live Services, “a trial I did not pay for” they think they can just cancel it. But I have paid for the whole package, so also for the subscription. And al they offer after steeling my subscription is a link to buy another subscription! What a lousy service, totally unacceptable.
Gewenste oplossing
I want my subscription to Live Services to be continued on the divice connected to my account, or many back for the retail price of the Life Services subscription.
