My complaint:
what a ridiculous service … first we couldnt even book a room because apparently all fletcher hotels were busy until end of may (end of voucher validity), we barely found this CARLTON HOTEL NAALDWIJK which had a free date on a friday, we booked immediately.
this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, it was so terrible, every single furniture was extremely old & dirty, there was mold in the bathroom, and when we decided to use the minibar (described in the booklet of the hotel) we found out there was no mini bar and in stead there were balls of dutst, cables and mold..just empty space. when we asked at the reception why was there no minibar we got the answer “well people dont use them a lot so we removed it”..i believe a hotel with 4 stars should withhold certain standards and keep minimum requirements…we also complained to the hotel manager but unfortunately with no result, the only thing we received was “call me next time you book and we will give you a free room upgrade”…obviously there will never be a second time…
Desired solution:
We expected an apology and at least a free breakfast or something we could have used at the time we were there and not "next time" but the biggest thing was to apologize , however the motto of the hotel was apparently to act as the clients are not right and not the hotel...mentality difference i suppose. completely unacceptable. never coming back and i hope people who read this will also not.
