My complaint:
I would like to submit a complaint about a passenger that was seated in seat 17C. The normal announcement was given to all passengers to shut off all electronic devices during take off and landing. This passenger was told twice by Ryanair staff to turn off his Ipad(notebook), he agreed and everytime the Ryanair staff to prepare for take off he turned his notebook back on. The third time I asked the passenger to turn off the notebook because he was asked twiced and it was for safety reasons. Needless to say this person got angry, told me to mind my own business and begon to give insulting comments. At that time during take off I pushed the call button for assistance from the Ryanair staff. The male attendant came once we were in the air. He asked what the problem was and then I told him about the situation. The passenger in 17C began to raise his voice and pretended that it wasn’t true and started verbally abusing me again. At this time the Ryanair staff told him to calm down otherwise they would inform the captain. They asked me to change seats so this passenger wouldn’t annoy me, but I chose to remain in the seat I paid for because of the extra leg room. The female Ryanair stewardess warned the passenger that they would watch him. Upon decent the female stewardess asked the passenger for his notebook and placed it in the overhead compartment. After she left he took out his phone and started playing with that.
Desired solution:
I was satisfied at the professionalism of the Ryanair staff, but I think things can be handled differently. I think this customer should receive an official warning. If he cannot comply with the federal regulations about electronic devices, then he shouldn't be allowed to fly. He is a danger to himself and others.
