My complaint:
The situations is as follows:
I had a 1year contract with Hi including monthly costs for calling/ texts + internet. In overall I paid 1 month in advance for a periodical cost which include free minutes/ texts (example 29 euro was equal to 225 min) and internet.
After one year I resigned from my provider and cancelled the contract. The bone of contention is the last phone bill sent to me by Hi. According to their rules (contract) the last month does not include the free minutes/ texts because I change the provider. It would sound ok for me if I was not charged one month before for a periodical costs for that last month!
The last two bills are:
1. Bill the one before last one received 10 may 2010 ( calls and texts list goes in the periods of 8 april till 4 may), bill of course include periodical cost for 01 may 2010 till 31 may 2010 which include of course my free minutes for a May period, accordingly the April period cost were paid on 10 of April. This situation made me think that in the last month there are as well free minutes included which I did not use in the month before period because the periodical costs were targeted for period may. Second of all I did not use the free minutes in April till 4 May so there I could use it next month. Could I or not really??
2. Last bill received 14 juni (calls and texts list billing goes between 5th May till 28th May). By my surprise the last month did not include the free minutes? Why? I just paid for periodical costs (free minutes) 10th of may for the whole period of may.
But in accordance with Hi I paid it 10th of May and the minutes were included in April. But didn’t I pay it for the April the 10th of April? Yes I did. So why on the bill from 10th May it is charged periodical costs for a whole may 01 May till 31 May but the billing list is between 8 April till 4 May). So I could use my free minutes for April and May in April period?
Conclusions:
For me it does not make sense that because of the last month of the contract with the provider in this case Hi, he can exclude the minutes which were guaranteed in the pakket because it is the last month. It would be different story if I would not have to pay for the periodical cost for month May, but I just did. I had to pay this bill because Hi blocked my other phone number, which unfortunately I still have with this provider.
I am just curious if this behavior and rules to which apply Hi are in accordance with the law and consumer rights. I have no idea where else I could write that is why I write to you.
