My complaint:
This complaint was already posted beginning of June 2011, but (typical for this company), they have not yet reacted. In 2010 I changed from Pearle Amsterdam to Optilens Amsterdam (Muntlein) due to unacceptable customer service and product quality at Pearle. With Optilens I have the arrangement to always get a 6-months pack of lenses. First time I received my lenses, it turned out there was a faulty lense in the pack through which I couldn’t see properly. Reported it to Optilens, and they replaced it straight away. Last week I had the same in my current pack of lenses. Again, I reported it via phone, email and even during my last visit for a check-up. However, the optician wasn’t very interested in a broken lense, and only said that these lenses were made by machines, not by humans, so it can happen. Okay, I got that, but Optilens were unwilling to replace the lense this time and were not really interested in such request. Sent various emails to Optilens headquartes as well as my Amsterdam branch, but still after many weeks, no reply. Contacted them again and again, but still no reply. I now have a 6-months pack of lenses for EUR 185, with some faulty ones in it.
Obviously, Optilens don’t have a problem charging for faulty products.
