My complaint:
We decided to replace our sofa somewhere in august/September 2012. We were looking for a specific model and after long search we visited the Seat’s and Sofas XXL shop in Zoeterwoude.
The disaster started here.
Part 1:
The sales guy was clever and convinced us to buy the leather sofa for around 2500 Euros on 10th December 2012. They promised and noted that they will deliver it in 8-10 weeks. After 10 weeks
I didn’t receive any Sofa nor status from their side. I managed to get somebody on the phone who spoke English and told me that we have to wait for 10-16 weeks as to the policy. I was so upset and angry asked them to cancel the whole stuff and return my payment.
The clue is that if you cancel any orders at Seats&Sofas even just after leaving the shop you still need to pay 30% of the total costs.
After several calls they explained that I could cancel it but 30% need to paid anyway as the bloody factory working everyday on the sofa.
Part 2:
On 11th of April 2013 they called me and informed that my sofa is ready to be picked up, though I have to travel to Maasluis near Rotterdam with my own truck. They warned me to pick it up in less than one week, after letting me wait for almost 5 months.
On 16th of April 2013 I picked up the sofas in a big truck and was loaded by the staff from Seats&Sofas in Maasluis. I have a house and parking place in front on my house, so I had to carry only 3-4 meters to my living room as the window/doors can be opened easily
On 18th of April 2013 I unpacked the 2 seater Sofa and this was damaged. I called the customer service who asked me to bring back the sofa to the pick up site as they want to determine if the damage was caused by me.
Now I have manage to bring back the heavy sofa back to other site 80KM away for them to determine the damage.
This is still open…
I will never ever buy anything again at Seats&Sofas. I myself work in a customer service sector and I am going to use this as an example for my trainings and meetings for the worst sort of service.
I am upset and angry about the service they provided for a sofa.
Desired solution:
nothing was offered sofar.
